Combining Passion and a Knowledge to Heal

Description:  Therapeutic Services is designed to prepare students to pursue careers in fields of dentistry, pharmacology, nutrition, or rehabilitation. Upon completion of this program, a proficient student will be able to identify careers in therapeutic clinical services; assess, monitor, evaluate, and report patient/client health status; and identify the purpose and components of treatments. Students have the opportunity to take part in a clinical internship at the end of this program of study along with optional testing for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant industry certification.

Activities in the program:  CPR certification, first aid skills, vital signs measurement, EKG’s for the heart just to name a few.

Potential Careers: Possible careers include lab assistant, radiologic technician, phlebotomist, medical assisting and registered nursing.

CTE Specific Annual Activities and Clubs: HOSA, Organizing Red Cross Blood Drive, Provide Medic Support for Approved Events 

Early Post-Secondary Opportunities: OSHA 10 (10th Grade) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA) (12th Grade), Dual Enrollment Anatomy and Physiology (12th Grade), Dual Enrollment Medical Terminology (12th Grade)
