College and Career Readiness for the 21st Century

Hunters Lane High School boasts four Academies of Nashville: Academy of Health and Human Services and International Baccalaureate; Academy of Hospitality, Marketing, and Business; Academy of Design and Technology; and Freshman Academy. Students are exposed to a large selection of choices for their coursework, which is maximized through an A/B schedule. Students take four classes on A days and four classes on B days, allowing students to earn eight credits per year.

In addition to a rigorous and expansive curriculum, which includes Advanced Placement courses and blended learning opportunities throughout the school, Hunters Lane High School offers students the opportunity to participate in multiple clubs, sports teams, music programs, and more.

We help all of our students make the most of their high school education, and we work closely with business and community partners to provide hands-on experiences and training.

Freshman Academy

All 9th-grade students begin in Freshman Academy. In Freshman Seminar, students will plan for life after high school and learn about the career pathways offered at Hunters Lane High School.
